This year, I was fortunate enough to visit one of the most remote places in the world: Antarctica. In just 15 days, I created memories I’ll cherish forever.
It’s hard to put into words just how grand and powerful the landscape was. The mountains had a presence that demanded attention. Once you adjusted to their immense scale, you began to notice the subtler details - the glaciers, some with perfectly smooth surfaces and others crumbling apart. Fresh snow and hours of beautiful powder pink light. Photographing this environment was a humbling reminder of how small we truly are on this planet and how beautiful this planet is. I wish everyone gets to experience moments like this in nature once in their lifetime.
Some of the highlights of the trip included plunging into polar waters, photographing whales and icebergs from zodiacs, and spending time among penguin colonies—the sound of which eventually blends into a meditative soundtrack.
