My trip to Colorado was something I’d been looking forward to for a year and a half, and it truly lived up to every bit of the anticipation. Everyone told me the fall experience in Colorado was unlike anywhere else, and they were absolutely right. I’m so grateful that photography continues to deepen my connection with nature in ways I never expect. What made it even more special was getting to share the experience with two of my favorite photography teachers, Matt Payne and Talor Stone.
I went into the week with three intentions: to get more comfortable with the Nikon Z8, to give myself permission to play with new techniques like intentional camera movement, and to finally let go of self-doubt. By the end of the trip, I accomplished all three. And what I’m most proud of is that my inner voice feels a little stronger, clearer, and a whole lot more confident.
